Overview: The Children's Art Challenge to Drive the SDGs is an initiative designed to empower children to envision a sustainable future and motivate them to support World Engineering Day. Our focus is on selecting children from diverse backgrounds across Angola—including rural, urban, disabled, albino, impoverished, and street children—and encouraging them to unlock one Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) per day through drawing and explaining their objectives.

Objectives:

  1. Empower Future Engineers: Inspire children to consider careers in engineering and motivate them to support World Engineering Day.
  2. Promote Inclusivity: Ensure participation from children of various backgrounds, including those who are often marginalized.
  3. Encourage Creativity: Allow school-aged children to unleash their creativity and envision a sustainable future through their art.
  4. Raise Awareness: Increase global awareness of the SDGs and the urgency for accelerated action.

Activities:

  • Daily Art Challenges: Children will unlock one SDG per day by creating drawings and providing explanations of their objectives.
  • Climate Change Focus: Children will share their inspirational creations on how to limit climate change.
  • Art Exhibitions: Display children's artwork in exhibitions to showcase their vision for a sustainable future.

Team: Our team is composed of inspiring and influential individuals dedicated to raising global awareness of the SDGs and the need for accelerated action.

Target Audience: The initiative targets children, youth, and women around the world—the next generation of consumers and change-makers. We aim to demonstrate that sustainable living is easy, cool, and fun.

Visão Geral: O Desafio de Arte Infantil para Impulsionar os ODS é uma iniciativa projetada para capacitar as crianças a imaginar um futuro sustentável e motivá-las a apoiar o Dia Mundial da Engenharia. Nosso foco é selecionar crianças de diversos contextos em toda Angola, incluindo áreas rurais, urbanas, crianças com deficiência, albinas, pobres e de rua, incentivando-as a desbloquear um Objetivo de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS) por dia através de desenhos e explicações de seus objetivos.

Objetivos:

  1. Empoderar Futuros Engenheiros: Inspirar as crianças a considerarem carreiras na engenharia e motivá-las a apoiar o Dia Mundial da Engenharia.
  2. Promover Inclusão: Garantir a participação de crianças de diversos contextos, incluindo aquelas que são frequentemente marginalizadas.
  3. Incentivar a Criatividade: Permitir que crianças em idade escolar liberem sua criatividade e imaginem um futuro sustentável através da arte.
  4. Aumentar a Conscientização: Aumentar a conscientização global sobre os ODS e a urgência de ações aceleradas.

Atividades:

  • Desafios Diários de Arte: As crianças desbloquearão um ODS por dia criando desenhos e fornecendo explicações sobre seus objetivos.
  • Foco na Mudança Climática: As crianças compartilharão suas criações inspiradoras sobre como limitar as mudanças climáticas.
  • Exposições de Arte: Exibir as obras de arte das crianças em exposições para mostrar sua visão de um futuro sustentável.
